Their time, Our time…

Have you ever wished you were born at the time of the Prophet peace be upon him?

Have you wondered how difficult or easy it must have been for the Arabs to believe in him salla Allahu alahi wassalam?

You know, while we might be deprived of seeing the Prophet peace be upon him, we do have an advantage!

SubhanaAllah, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is TRULY FAIR!

You know why?? Ponder of this…

During the time of the Prophet, miracles such as the israa’ and mi3raaj were unimaginable and unrealistic to the Arabs. How can a man possibly be elevated to the highest of skies, visit a land far away, and come back all within one night?? To them, it must have been difficult to comprehend. For us however, it is something VERY possible! Anyone who’s been on an airplane can attest to the high possibility of such a miracle…

This also applies to many of the Quraanic miracles such as the verses where Allah azza wa jal tells us of embryology and astronomy. To the Arabs, it probably made no sense to them when they learned about the sun and the moon having their own paths that they travel along in the skies…It was probably very difficult for them to understand the formation of a fetus in the womb and the development stages…Heck even think of the simplest examples: being created from water and mud…Any science student will tell you that one of the first things they memorized is that water is a MUST for life…and that the necessary ingredients for life as they say are probably found in “mud”…One can go on forever…

So you see, while we might not have the Prophet peace be upon him with us, we do understand many of the miracles presented to us in the Quraan…and that leads to another miracle within itself: the fact that these facts were mentioned over 1400 years ago and we are just learning them now!

Also, it brings me to shame to think of how fast they accepted the miracles (companions radiya Allahu anhum) and how strongly and firmly they held to the truth, regardless of what was realistic to them or beyond their knowledge and understanding…And they sacrificed their lives for it.

May Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala grant us the company of His messenger and the companions in jannah inshaAllah. Ameen..

Wassalamu Alaikum…

Wow, beautifully written! It makes me think of how in this day and age alot of people need science unfortunately to believe in the existance of God. Many muslims (not all) of this time are no different. How many times have we seen/heard that a sister/brother believes the quran and Allah BECAUSE of the scientific aspects/proofs. This is not the way of the believer. The way of the believer is if Allah swt says something than we HEAR and OBEY. We don’t need science to affirm his existance, it is only a useful tool but it should be an after thought. Don’t know if my ramblings made sense…lol! Anyhow thanks for posting.

sorry, me again! I only wrote the above because I was reflecting on when you said “Also, it brings me to shame to think of how fast they accepted the miracles (companions radiya Allahu anhum) and how strongly and firmly they held to the truth, regardless of what was realistic to them or beyond their knowledge and understanding…And they sacrificed their lives for it.” THIS is TRUE IMAAN! They did not need science to affirm their belief….the words of Allah (azza wajjal) were ENOUGH! May Allah swt make us and the next generation stronger….ameen.

That’s so true and so beautiful…you made complete sense lol!!
    And ameen to your duaa’s…

Something else, it’s also really sad to see many professional scientists being athiests because of the “science” they have learned…

There are many verses in the Qura’an where Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says that science or knowledge should lead one to an even higher degree of belief…so it’s almost like a responsibility…They’ve seen and learned the intricate details, beauty, and ‘amazing-ness’ of Allah’s creation, and yet they don’t believe…
