Did you know that humans can (not necessarily WANT to-but physically capable) eat any other mammal’s meat…..EXCEPT
Why? Because polar bears eat so many seals, so they have a lot of vitamin D in their diet. Vitamin D is not a water soluble vitamin, but it is fat soluble—-> goes to your fat tissues and sticks. If a vitamin is a water soluble, you can’t really truly have an overdose if you drink water. But if it is fat soluble, it doesnt matter what you drink, that vitamin will stay and you will have an overdose of it.
An overdose of vitamin D is toxic to us, and that’s why polar bears are the only mammals we can’t eat…
